Top 10: Weird Wikipedia Rejects

It’s a double edged blade where research is concerned. Still you think they would let anyone in, but nope.

Yes, the World Wide Web is full of information. Sometimes it is full of information we don’t even want to know about. Wikipedia has become a fairly reliable resource for people. Still even this emerging icon has its share of rejects, however “informative” they might be.

10. Pip’s Three Handed Chess

Who in the world would want to play this? Yup, those kids in school that smelled kind of funny. Still, this entry is so out there and useless, no one would ever really want to learn to play it.

9. Hebrew Bible View on Women

Not only is this completely off the wall and serves no practical purpose, but this rejected listing is just yet another thing I can’t do anything about. I can’t handle that kind of pressure!

8. Year 10,000 Problems

This entry describes the potential bugs in computers when we get to the year 10,000. I’m really glad this one was brought up, because you know, I was worried about that all week last week. Luckily someone has my back on this potentially earth shattering problem…. 8,000 head of schedule.

7. World Carrot Museum

The world Carrot Museum can be found on the World Wide Web at www.carrotmuseum.co.uk. I was skeptical at first, but after seeing that they had carrot games, canceled my World of Warcraft account.

6. Satan Claus

In the movie The Last Boyscout Bruce Willis was heard saying “water’s wet, the sky is blue… and Satan Claus, he’s out there Jimmie. And he’s just getting stronger”. Santa is an anagram for Satan so, obviously Christmas is evil. This makes no sense. If this is true so is Santa Maria, and any other SAINT. Isn’t that what Santa means? Hello? Spanish 1… high school.. ya shoulda went.

5. Coulrophilia

Yeah, I just typed it in Word and got a squiggly red line under it. Someone claims this is a word, and the meaning is this: A sexual attraction to clowns. WOW! Does that include a sexual attraction for clowns by other clowns or not? Enquiring minds want to know.

4. Anna Clifford

Who in their right mind thought this would be a good Wikipedia entry? Obviously someone with nothing better to do, perhaps even Anna herself. She got drunk, she drove a car, she has a 14 inch Mohawk. She was nobody before she got picked up, she’s back to zero now: end story.

3. Astrosociobiology

This is another ‘redliner’. By definition this is the study of alien civilization or rather the study of speculating on what an alien civilization would be like if we ever found one. I submit that an alien civilization is no civilization at all unless it has a Totally Top 10.

2. Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria

I am absolutely not Anti-Jewish on any level whatsoever. Having said that I will point out this is one strange would-be entry. I just fail to see where the average person would need to know this. And if you lived in Bulgaria (which apparently has only 8,000 Jews) wouldn’t you kind of know about it already?

1. Hogzilla!

Initially this was reported as a reject, but I am proud to say that this 1,000 lb, 9 ft long beast has made it into the big-time and Wikipedia. No one can deny the power of HOGZILLA!

Well pardon me John. I realize that a few well placed Carrot PSAs might be needed. Did you stop to consider we used this forum to bring to light the plight of the great Himalayan Wild Carrot? We’re pretty subtle around here.
